Balance of Souls
In the Hall of Two Truths, a heart is weighed against the feather of Ma'at. Take your place at the golden scale and render true judgment — one quiet mechanic, endlessly different trials.
One scale, four trials
How it plays
Drag offerings onto the two pans and read how the great beam leans. Every trial bends the same mechanic toward a different kind of thinking.
⚖Balance
Distribute every offering across the pans until the beam rests perfectly level. The gentle way in.
↥Verdict
Don't balance it — tip it. Choose a subset of offerings to lean the scale a required amount to one side, then seal the judgment.
🔍Deduction
Among identical sealed hearts, one weighs false. With a strict budget of blind comparisons, reason out the corrupt one — a true weights-and-balances riddle.
⏳Timed
In deeper halls Anubis loses patience. The sands run down while you weigh, so you must judge swiftly as well as truly.
The road through the Duat
Four halls, rising in trial
Feathers of Ma'at, earned for true verdicts, open each hall in turn. The timed pressure and the harder deductions arrive as you go deeper.
Where the newly dead first learn the weight of a life.
Open from the startAnubis sets the beam; every deed is answered.

A world that remembers
Every true verdict tips the living balance of souls back from chaos toward order — the game's namesake meter.
📜Book of the Dead
Short, original verses on the ib, the feather, Anubis and the Field of Reeds unlock as you progress — a quiet thread of lore beside the puzzles.
✦Ib & hints
